Department Business Meeting
July 21st, 2011
Location: Station 2

- Deputy Chief Crispin made a motion to spend no more than the $80,000 which is the projected grant money for the new haz-mat vehicle. This money will equal the amount that the County Emergency Management has committed to MCFD toward the replacement of Hazmat 3 via a grant from Homeland Security. Due to the time constraints of the grant; this is being done to assure the money is approved so the cheifs will have the funds available to start the process if an agreement on the vehicle is reached. There will most like be an additional monety commitment by the MCFD for the remainder cost of this vehicle. We must receive the final vehicle prior to the end of December 2011 to qualify for grant monies. MOTION APPROVED BY THE BODY.

- Firefighter Steve Wisely gave a brief presentation on various types of haz-mat vehicles. The chiefs will make that final determination.
