10/06/2007 - Home Depot on Rt 31 Safety Days
Members from Moyers Corners visited Home Depot on Rt. 31 for Safety Days with NOVA Ambulance.
Moyers Corners Members and Moyers Corners Student Bunkins talked with families about the importance of fire safety awareness, walked them through the fire engine, and demonstrated a stop, drop, and roll drill. See below Student Bunkin Bryan Rainville shows a young child how to properly do a stop, drop, and roll.
MCFD Visits Willowfield Elementary
January 11, 2002 - Mrs. Lynch's Class
On January 11th, the Moyers Corners Fire Department Fire Prevention Section attended its first Fire Prevention detail of 2002.
Anne Marie Lynch's 3rd grade class at Willowfield Elementary School on Route 31 welcomed Captain Zaferakis, Firefighter Rowland, and Firefighter Burns to their classroom.
The Fire Prevention Section of the M.C.F.D would like to thank Mrs. Lynch's class for their attentiveness, and their desire to learn about fire safety and the fire service.
One week later, Captain Zaferakis and Captain Stevens visited the school once again to give another presentation to a third grade class.
