Dear MCFD, I am writing to let you know that my father, Richard L. Valmore passed away on Saturday, January 26th at our home. I know for the years that he was involved with MC, he would have wanted me to send you a note after his passing. He loved the people at MC and his time serving until we moved. I'm not sure how else to contact you so I am going to do it this way...I just wanted to thank you for making me late for work today...seriously, thank you! If it wasn't for your fire department risking your lives standing outside in the cold on 481 South today helping several people after an accident I may not have been late, I may not have made it to work at all! We are so lucky as a community to have people like you all that want to help people in scary situations. As I continued down the highway, I noticed several tire tracks in the median and several more cars on the side of the road...This weather is terrible and I hate driving in it. But I wanted to take a moment to thank you very much for making me late for work today...ALIVE AND WELL! Thank you for ALL that you do! Stay Safe!
