New Engine 11 Soon To Go In Service

On May 23, 2005 the Moyers Corners Fire Department performed a final inspection on a New 2005 Pierce Quantum Pumper in Appleton, Wisconsin. Performing the final inspection were Capt. Kenyon and mechanic Fred Bressette. Minor issues were found during the inspection and were taken care of in the Pierce Manufacturing facility.
The Engine left the Pierce plant on May 25, 2005 on it's way to Tyler Fire Equipment in Elmira, New York where the final work will be performed. The new quantum will be shown at the NYS Association of Fire Chiefs Convention at the NYS fair grounds on June 9th-11th. The new Engine will run as Engine 11 out of MCFD Station #1, corner of Oswego Road (Rt 57) and Route 31. The Engine is expected to be in service by the end of June.
