Fire Guts a North Syracuse Home

Saturday, December 17th at 0935 in the morning the North Syracuse Fire Department was dispatched to a possible structure fire on Kristen Road between Allen Road and Buckley Road.  Calls reported smoke showing with the possibility of people inside.  Additional information provided the occupants had exited the home with flames seen in the back of the home. 

North Syracuse Car 3 (T. Ellis) arrived on scene to find a single story ranch with heavy fire from the front.  North Syracuse Car 1 (M. Hogan) assumed Command and Chief Ellis took Operations.  MCFD Engine 32 and NSFD Engine 8 established water supplies from opposite ends of Kristen Road.  Crews from Engine 32 and Engine 8 pulled 2 - 2 1/2" lines to the front of the structure and started an aggressive push on the fire.   Once the bulk of the fire was extinguished the crew from Engine 32 along with NSFD crews made entry for further extinguishment and overhaul.
