On Monday, February 19, 2007 at 12:05, the volunteers from Moyers Corners Station 2 were dispatched on the Signal 99 at 102 William Street in the Solvay Fire District. Engine 22 (Capt. Driscoll) and Car 3 (DC Neuman) arrived within 13 minutes of dispatch and was advised to stage 1 block from the incident. Shortly thereafter, the crew was then assigned the 2nd floor to check for any potential extension. The crews from Solvay and neighboring departments made quick work of a fire in the walls of a balloon frame structure. Moyers Corners units returned to service at 13:05 hours. On the way back, the E22 crew was dispatched to Mistrall Knolls to clear a fire hydrant for a concerned citizen who called 911. This is a reminder to all residential and commercial properties in our fire district, please help us by clearing your nearest fire hydrants. Even if the hydrant is not in your front yard, it may be used at your home or business. We need and appreciate your help…
