Since 1995 the Clark Burn Center, young
burn survivors, and area Fire Departments have
met to celebrate the season with an annual
party. Originally held at the Clark Burn
Center, the festivities have since moved to
local firehouses for the past six years.
Donations recieved by the Clark Burn Center
from area Fire Departments and local businesses
during this time are used to help fund the Burn
Camp located in Painted Post, NY. The donated
funds also help cover the cost of travel for
loved ones visiting family members at
the Burn Center.
This year the Moyers Corners Fire
Department proudly opened their doors
to seventeen children and the staff of the
Clark Burn Center. They even got to spend the
night at MCFD Station 1 and sleep right in
the firefighter's bunking quarters. On Friday
night the children went to the movies and
Lights on the Lake via Liverpool Fire
Deparment's bus. Early Saturday morning the
children helped to make breakfast. Later that day the children were met by family, friends,
and firefighters from Onondaga and Oswego County for food, fun, and games. A surprise
visit by Santa highlighted the festivities. The following departments/organizations/
businesses attended and/or contributed to this year's event:
Moyers Corners
Clay
Liverpool
North Syracuse
Hinsdale
Lyncourt
South Bay
South Onondaga
Taunton
Jordan
Onondaga Hill
Nedrow
Sentinel Heights

If you were missed, we apologize. Thank you to all that contributed gifts, checks,
time, and energy to make this event successful yet again. A big thank you to the staff of the
Clark Burn Center for all that you do, and thank you to the children and their families.
The Moyers Corners Fire Department would also like to thank Firefighter Adam Croman and Past
Chief Greg Tiner for all of their help. Have a safe and happy Holiday Season.
