This Month In MCFD History...

On February 10th 1983, crews from the Moyers Corners Fire Department rescued a 67 year old female that was trapped in a 35-foot deep well. News articles and photos can be found in the gallery below.
On February 12, 1987, MCFD responded to a structure fire at the Brookwood Village Apartments on Avon Parkway. A worker had unintentionally started the fire while using a torch to unfreeze pipes. An aggressive interior attack and large trench cut by the truck company prevented the fire from spreading down the complex.
