The volunteers of Moyers Corners were alerted to a reported structure fire on Princess Path in the Battalion 1 response area. Car 3 [Stevens] arrived and reported heavy smoke from the C/D corner of the residence.
Car 5 [S. Zaferakis] and Battalion 2 [Bressette] arrived moments later.
Engine 41 [FF Zaferakis] was the first due engine. They brought in a hydrant and stretched a line through the garage. Truck 2 [Lt. Belczak] arrived and split their crew to handle roof operations and interior overhaul. OCSD Air One lit up the scene and indicated to command that heat levels were highest around the chimney area. Rescue 4 [FF Watson] performed a quick search of the second floor and assisted with overhaul. First floor interior crews opened up the walls around the fireplace and limited the spread of fire. Truck 2's roof crew opened up the roof and assisted in overhaul from above. Ladder 1 [Lt. Delong] handled the RIT assignment and assisted with exterior lighting and utilities. Engine 21 [Capt. Brown] and Engine 31 [Lt. Izzo] pumped the first due hydrant and secured a second water source. Their crews also stretched additional handlines to assist interior crews. Rescue 3 [Lt. Stachurski] staged at the scene. Battalion 3 [Dembowski] was the safety officer. Crews were in service within an hour.
