Past Chief Chet Fritz Honored.

Past Chief Chet Fritz of the Moyers Corners Fire Department was honored by the Onondaga County Volunteer Firefighter's Association Tuesday night. He recieved OCVFA's "First Pitch Award" during a ceremony on May 26, 2009 at a Syracuse Chief's game at Alliance Bank Staduim. The ball game was rained out, however, festivities were still held. Honor Guard was provided by Deputy Chief Stevens, Lt. Belczak, FF Ferguson, FF Frost, and FF Mather. Engine 21 and Squad 2 also made a presence to support the Chief and was staffed by Captain Brown,FF Zevotek and FF Kissock.Chief Bressette, Kevin Wisely, Stephen Wisely, Lt. Mike Normanly, Lt. Bob Driscoll and FF Rowland also went to honor Chief Fritz. Explorer's Robbie Distasio, Zach Paparo, Veronica Zampini, and Adriana Zampini also showed their support. Master of Ceremonies was Past Taunton Chief and Past MCFD Member Chip Piraino. Amber, Minoa, Brewerton, and Taunton Fire Department also provided apparatus for the event. Congratulations Chief Fritz on receiving this award and your continued dedication and service to the Moyers Corners Fire Department and Onondaga County.
