Sunday, May 31st, 1830 hours.

The Moyers Corners Fire Department was alerted to a possible structure fire on Foster Road in the Station 4 response area. One person was reported as possibly being trapped in the fire. Foster Road runs along the Seneca River, off of Wetzel Road. Battalion 1 Chief Crispin arrived first and reported heavy fire from a 15'x15' wood framed structure. Car 3 [Stevens] arrived second and assumed the operations. Car 5 [Capt. Lyons] arrived and assumed the safety officer position. Battalion 2 Chief Bressette and Car 2 [Race] also responded. Engine 41 [Lt. Beardsley] was the first due engine. They established a water supply from the closest hydrant and began attacking the fire from the exterior. Rescue 4 [Lt. Zaferakis] arrived behind 41. The rescue company then helped make 41's hydrant, assisted in obtaining access to the structure by knocking down fencing, and stretched a second handline. Truck 2 [FF Zevotek] assisted with overhaul. Crews were in service within 30 minutes.
