Members of the Moyers Corners Fire Department came out for a good cause on Saturday June 20th. They participated in the OCM BOCES Carrer Academy in Liverpool. The proceeds from the event went to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. While the weather may not have been the best, that didn't stop the members of the department from showing the kids that attended a good time. Explorers from the department's explorer post put on a demonstration on stop, drop, and roll. They also showed the kids how they put their gear on and let the kids try it as well. The department also brought several fire trucks for everyone to look at. Several children even had their pictures taken in the driver's seat! Carol Baldwin her self even stoped by and took a picture with the firefighters. Lieutenant Jeff Belczak promised that if the department raised enough money, he would go in the dunk tank. Sure enough, the firefighters and explorers raised the money and Lt. Belczak ended up wet but he didn't mind, it was for a good cause.
