MCFD Extricates Two at Soule Road and Route 57

Moyers Corners was alerted to a Motor Vehicle Accident at the intersection of Soule Road and Route 57. Initial reports indicated a possible entrapment. Battalion One [Crispin] arrived and confirmed that report, stating that two patients in the white vehicle would need extrication. Rescue 4 [Lt. Zaferakis] arrived and prepped the Nissan Altima for extrication. Squad 4 [FF Kennedy] arrived shortly after the Rescue Company and started patient care on the other vehicle. Engine 11 [FF Gaido] stretched a handline and provided scene safety for the extrication. Engine 22 [Capt. Izzo] stretched a handline, provided scene safety, and assisted in packaging the patient in the other vehicle. Rescue 3 [Capt. Brown] provided manpower for the extrication and handled the patient packaging for the vehicle not involving extrication.
Rescue 4's crew removed the roof and driver's door to free the driver and passenger of the Nissan Altima. Total extrication time was approximately fifteen minutes. NOVA and GBAC transported the victim's to area hospitals. Baldwinsville Squad 3 and Rescue 6 also responded. Units operating on the scene were:
