Reported Fire on Deerfield Road

Moyers Corners daytime crews were alerted to a possible structure on Deerfield Road in the Battalion 2 response area. Battalion 3 Chief Steve Dembowski arrived with 'smoke showing' from the front of the structure and established command. Engine 21 [Lt. Driscoll] was the first due engine and started the initial attack line. Engine 41 [Capt. Zeppetello] arrived second, established a water supply, and did a primary search of the residence. Truck 2 [Capt. Izzo] arrived and covered the laddering and ventilation assignments. Engine 31 [Lt. Stachurski] stretched a second handline into the residence. MCFD Car 2 [Race] covered the operations sector while Liverpool Car 3 [Ormsby] assisted. Liverpool Engine 6 and MCFD Ladder 1 also assisted on the scene. Interior crews found a fire in the kitchen area with minor extension to the cabinets. Crews were in service within 30 minutes.
