On Wednesday October 15th at approximately 4 pm, Moyers Corners Rescue 4 was alerted to a reported rollover on River Road in the Belgium Cold Springs Fire District. Initial reports stated a person was trapped under the vehicle. Battalion 1 [Crispin] went en route and was asked by Fire Control if a crew was standing by at Station 1. MCFD Station 1 was alerted and a crew from Engine 11 [FF Eldred] went en route within a minute. Belgium Cold Springs Car 1 [Evans] was the first to arrive and informed incoming units that one person was trapped inside the vehicle. Rescue crews from Belgium arrived and started vehicle stabilization. MCFD Engine 11 provided scene safety and started patient care on the trapped victim. Rescue 4 [Lt. Zaferakis] arrived and assisted with the extrication. Entry was made on the rolled-over vehicle by cutting the "C" and "B" posts, then cutting the roof down behind the "B" post. The patient was then packaged and turned over to a crew from GBAC Ambulance. Total extrication time was approximately 20 minutes. Three other patients in the vehicle were transported to Crouse Hospital, while the other patient was transported to University Hospital.
