Tuesday December 22nd
The morning started out with the daytime holiday party at Moyers Corners Station 3. As crews were cleaning from the mornings festivities, the house tones sounded for a house fire in the Liverpool Fire District. MCFD Engine 32 [FFJ. Wisely] was on the road immediately due to members at the station. MCFD E32 was the second piece of apparatus on the scene and first engine behind Liverpool truck 2. Smoke was showing upon arrival. First line and primary search conducted by these units. Crews had a tough time finding the basement stairs due to floor to ceiling smoke. During that time heavy fire began to show from the rear basement windows. Evacuation was ordered by command. Several minutes later the crews re-grouped and re-entered the structure. Primary search was completed and the attack team located the basement stairs in the kitchen only to be greeted by a heavy volume of fire. Crews were pushed back out of the kitchen and a second evacuation tone was alerted. Outside operations were conducted and the majority of the fire was knocked down via the rear basement windows. MCFD Engine 21 [Capt. Izzo] staged at Liverpool Station 1.
