Dec 24, 2009 - 01:47 pm
Saturday December 19th
Crews from MCFD Station 4 conducted their annual Santa Claus detail in the Station 4 response area. Rescue 4, Engine 41, Squad 4, the Battalion Chief , and Santa started out at 8am driving to the designated "Santa Stops" in the different neighborhoods. Christmas music and sirens let the public know Santa was at their stop with his favorite elves, the firefighters. The children came out in droves to see Santa, the firefighters, and the apparatus.

Wednesday December 23rd
December 23rd was a busy evening for the Wednesday Night standby crew. Not an evening filled with emergency calls, but an evening filled with costumes and Christmas cheer for the MCFD chief officers and their families. Between 6pm - 8pm Truck 2 and Engine 22 could be seen driving throughout the district with staffing comprised of Santa, two reindeer, a tree, a present, a wreath, a snowman, a Grinch and a very tall elf! While receiving several strange looks from passerby the crews made the rounds to all our chief officers to wish them a Merry Christmas.
