The Moyers Corners Fire Department student bunk-ins, along with Firefigher Nichols, Firefighter Shaffer, and Firefighter Kendall, recently took part in a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at Onondaga Community College. Ladder 1 also made the trip up to "the hill" to help with the ceremony. Members and student bunk-ins  from East Syracuse, North Syracuse, Marcellus, Taunton, Onondaga Hill, Fairmount, Skaneateles, and Baldwinsville Fire Department were also present to honor the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Staff from the Onondaga County office of Emergency Management as well as the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department also paid their respects. A bagpiper started the ceremony followed by a military color guard. Speeches were made by the school president and college alumni. The bagpiper closed out the ceremony with a rendition of Amazing Grace. Thank you to all that attended and honored the 343 firefighters and emergency service workers that made the ultimate sacriface ten years ago.
