Brian Alsever started his scouting career in 2004 as a Webelo in Pack 620. He advanced quickly through both Webelo 1 and Webelo 2 program in just one year. He earned the Arrow of Light in April of 2005 and crossed over into Troop 620. Brian served as Patrol Leader of the Panther Patrol and also served as Assistant Senior Patrol Leader for three years. The position Brian h as just taken on is Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. He is an Ordeal member in the Order of the Arrow.

Brian’s eagle scout project consisted of building two picnic tables and scba air bottle air bottle holders for MCFD Station 1. The holders were designed because the current system of storing the bottles was inadequate. To improve the conditions, Brian designed a storage system which was mounted on the walls with covers to ensure a clean environment for the cylinders. Brian also created the designs for the two picnic tables that were built for the patio. Brian, along with fellow scouts and MCFD firefighters and explorers, constructed everything in one day. The total time required to complete the project was greater than 120 hours.

Brian is a senior at Liverpool High School and plans on attending college next fall to study criminal justice. Brian is the President of the Moyers Corners Fire Department Explorer Post 209, and the captain of the Liverpool Varsity Swim Team. Brian is also a member of the National Honor Society.

The Moyers Corners Fire Department would like to congratulate Brian on his eagle scout achievement. He is a true leader and a staple at Station 1. Brian is extremely active in the fire department, and still finds a way to balance school, home, sports, and the scouts.  We look forward to his future with the MCFD!
